HOUSTON—(Business Wire)—August 28, 2006— Ensource Energy Income Fund LP today announced that it has extended its cash tender and exchange offer for all the outstanding depositary units of the Eastern American Natural Gas Trust (NYSE:NGT). Pursuant to the offer, Ensource is offering to : (i) pay $31.00 in cash, without interest, for up to 2,9501,000 of the outstanding NGT depositary units and (ii) exchange one whole common unit of Ensource along with a a pro-rata share of a $5.9 million special cash distribution to be paid by Ensource to holders of NGT depositary units accepted by Ensource for exchange in this offer. The offer, which was previously scheduled to expire at 5:00 PM, New York City time, on August 25, 2006 has been extended until 5:00 PM, New York City time, on September 15, 2006, unless further extended.

As of the close of business on August 25, 2006, a total of 1,511,801 NGT depositary units, or 25.6% of the total units outstanding, had been tendered pursuant to the exchange offer.
