Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On November 14, 2018, Gastar Exploration Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the Company’s financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2018. A copy of the Company’s press release, dated November 14, 2018, is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated into this Item 2.02 by reference.
