First Trust Specialty Finance and Financial Opportunities Fund (“FGB”) is filing herewith a press release issued on ~~March~~April 521, 2025, as Exhibit 99.1. The press release was issued by First Trust Advisors L.P. (“FTA”) announced today that ~~proxy materials for~~ the ~~proposed~~special ~~reorganization~~meeting of ~~First~~shareholders ~~Trust~~of FGB ~~Specialty~~that ~~Finance~~was ~~and~~suppose ~~Financial~~to ~~Opportunities~~be ~~Fund~~held ~~(NYSE:~~on ~~FGB)~~April 21, a2025 ~~closed-end~~has ~~fund~~been adjourned in order to permit ~~managed~~additional bysolicitation ~~FTA,~~of ~~with~~shareholders and to allow shareholders additional time to vote on the reorganization of the Fund with and into FT Confluence BDC & Specialty Finance Income ETF ~~(the “ETF”)~~, a newly formed series of First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII (~~the~~ “~~Reorganization~~FBDC”) ~~have been mailed to shareholders~~.
