Item 3.01. Notice of Delisting or Failure to Satisfy a Continued Listing Rule or Standard; Transfer of Listing

Ibis Technology Corporation (Nasdaq GM: IBIS), a leading provider of SIMOX-SOI implantation equipment to the worldwide semiconductor industry, announced that it received a letter from the Nasdaq Stock Market dated July 23, 2008 informing the Company that it does not comply with the minimum market value of publicly held shares requirement, as required by Marketplace Rule 4450(a)(2).

On July 24, 2008, the Company issued the press release attached to this Current Report as Exhibit 99.1.
