Item 8.01 Other Events.

On or around September 15, 2016, The Rancon Realty Fund IV Liquidating Trust (the “Liquidating Trust”), will mail a letter to the beneficiaries of the Liquidating Trust (the “Beneficiaries”), providing an update on the activities of the Liquidating Trust and enclosing a copy of the Liquidating Trust’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2015. A copy of the letter to Beneficiaries which accompanies the Annual Report on Form 10-K is furnished with this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.

Also on or around September 15, 2016, the Liquidating Trust will make a liquidating distribution to the Beneficiaries in the aggregate amount of $11,996,150.08, and mail a letter to the Beneficiaries which accompanies the distribution. A copy of the letter to the Beneficiaries which accompanies the distribution is furnished with this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.2.

On or around September 14, 2016, the Liquidating Trust will mail a letter to custodians and pension plan trustees holding outstanding units in the Liquidating Trust, providing an estimate by the Trustee of the Liquidating Trust (the “Trustee”) of the value of such units. A copy of the letter to the custodians and pension plan beneficiaries is furnished with this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.3. As stated in the letter, the value is an estimate of the per unit amount remaining to be distributed by the Liquidating Trust. Although it is anticipated that the Liquidating Trust will make distributions to the Beneficiaries in approximately this amount per unit, there can be no assurance of the amount that will be available for distribution from the Liquidating Trust. Such valuation was internally prepared by the Trustee without verification or review by any third-party advisors.
