Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

American Crystal Sugar Company (Company) announced to its shareholders in a letter dated May 24, 2013, that due to the wet conditions that have slowed planting progress in the Company’s growing area this spring, the Company’s Board of Directors has authorized a one-time program open to all shareholders to increase the Company’s planted acres for the 2013 crop by up to an additional 10,000 acres. The Board of Directors has the authority to further adjust planting levels up or down depending on circumstances that develop throughout the year.
