Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure

American Crystal Sugar Company (Company) announced to its shareholders in a letter dated March 28, 2013, that the forecasted average gross beet payment for the 2012 crop of sugarbeets is currently projected at $63.00 per ton, a decrease of $2.00 per ton from the projection announced in November 2012. The actual gross beet payment for the 2012 crop will necessarily differ from the current estimate to reflect final Company operations and selling prices for the Company’s products during fiscal year 2013.

The letter also discusses that lower sugar prices are anticipated for the 2013 crop year and beyond. This forecast could lower the projected average gross beet payment for the 2013 crop to a range of $40 to $45 per ton before taking into account any changes in crop size or quality, pricing for co-products, or major changes in operating costs.
