ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS.

On December 18, 2006, Blue Ridge Paper Products Inc. (the “Company”) entered into Amendment No. 1 to Equipment Schedule No. 1 to its existing Master Lease, between the Company, as successor-in-interest to Champion International Corporation, and General Electric Capital Corporation. Attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit 10.1 is the amendment.
