(the "Company") issued a press release reporting earnings, per share earnings, commercial loan and deposit growth, improved margins at the Bank and Mortgage Company for the full year and fourth quarter of 2005. Net income for the year ended December 31, 2005 was $949 million or diluted earnings per share of $2.01 compared to $553 million last year or diluted earnings per share of $1.85. Net income for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 was $210 million or $.45 diluted earnings per share as compared to $222 million or diluted earnings per share of $.47 for the comparable period. The press release contains supplemental financial information determined by methods other than in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") that management uses in its analysis of the Company's performance.
