Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 15, 2010, Circuit City Stores, Inc. (the “Company”) filed the Monthly Operating Report for the period from August 1, 2010 to August 31, 2010 with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The Bankruptcy Court has had jurisdiction over the reorganization proceedings under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code for the Company and each of its wholly-owned United States and Puerto Rican subsidiaries since November 10, 2008. A copy of the Monthly Operating Report is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
